Annamaria Palsi-Ikonen
Qualified European Photographer and Visual Storyteller
Visual Storyteller
I am Annamaria Palsi-Ikonen, a Qualified European Photographer and Master Photographer.
My passion lies in finding the moments that often go unnoticed. The quiet gestures, fleeting expressions, and subtle connections that reveal the heart of a story. I don´t focus on the obvious, I seek what is felt rather than seen, creating images that invite people to pause, reflect, and connect. For me, photography is not just about capturing a moment. It is about bringing stories to life in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and deeply human.
Welcome to have a look on what I do.
Every golfers dream: A hole in one
This picture is my kind of humor: the obvious, with a twist.
I like creating images where the idea is simple and immediately recognizable — but then there’s that little unexpected detail that makes you look twice.
This is a story about a hole in one, created entirely by me: idea, photo and editing.
I enjoy doing things with humor and finding the fun in the obvious.
And if you’re looking for creative ideas for your marketing, campaigns or visual content, let’s be in touch. I love turning simple ideas into something people remember.
QEP
"The Federation of European Professional Photographers gathered in Sofia, Bulgaria, for its 48th qualification judging session.
The Qualified European Photographer (QEP) qualification aims to recognise and reward excellence in European Professional Photographers. It is designed to complement national awards systems and has over the years created a Europe-wide network of over 1000 certified experts who share a passion and talent for professional photography.
To reach this level, a photographer must have excellent technical and artistic skills, the panel must have, besides technical talent a certain wow-factor that sets them apart from others. For a QEP application a panel of 12 printed and mounted images is required, all representing the candidates’ chosen field of specialization. The panel is judged by a jury of 5 experienced, international judges.
This time 31 QEP applications were submitted, 15 out of which were successful. One of the new QEPs is Annamaria Palsi-Ikonen from Finland, she is from Finnish association Suomen Ammattivalokuvaajat ry. Her panel represented the illustrative category.
The judges felt that the overall standard of qualifications seem to be increasing every year and even in the era of AI, professional photography is still thriving.
